The Epsilon Nu Chapter was chartered on May 7, 1950.
The Epsilon Nu Chapter has been in existence at Jacksonville State for 60 years. Since its inception Epsilon Nu has made its purpose to "Take men and make them better men". We strive to instill the values of Sinfonia in collegiate youth who take the vow to join our brotherhood
As a chapter, the two biggest projects we take on each year are JSU Band Day and our Mills Music Mission at Children's Hospital in Birmingham. At Band Day we invite middle and high school students from all over the southeast to come to Jacksonville and be a "Southerner for a Day". This allows the students to join the Southerners for a day and get to experience what it's like to be in Southerners. The MMM at Children's is the best opportunity we have to share the gift of music with those who are less fortunate. In 2012-2013, we initiated 13 new brothers and four new Honorary Brothers, including: Mr. Joey Pero, Popular Trumpet Performer and Recording Artist; Mr. Jeffrey Solomon, Horn Professor and Assistant Principal Horn of the Alabama Symphony Orchestra; Mr. Jeremy Stovall, Assistant Director of Bands; and Dr. Nathan Wight, Voice Professor and Director of the Jacksonville Opera Theatre
